The fourth session of the 16th Liwan District Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded in Guangzhou on February 27.
During the session, the committee members reviewed and approved the work report of the Standing Committee of the 16th Committee and the report on the proposal work since the third session, elected eight comrades, including Yang Shaoyun, as Standing Committee members, and deliberated on and passed resolutions. The meeting successfully accomplished all the tasks.
Wu Huiwen, Chairman of the CPPCC Liwan District Committee, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony, saying the session received great attention from the the Liwan District Committee and strong support from all sides and conducted fruitful discussions and exchanges, inspiring the CPPCC members.
In addition, he emphasized the CPPCC's commitment to proactive and pragmatic actions, focusing on learning, ideological liberation, and effective implementation to promote high-quality development in Liwan.
A total of 143 proposals were collected from members, including 25 submitted as "people's proposals." After review, 98 were filed, and 90 were addressed, with a filing rate of 62.9 percent.
