The fourth session of the 17th Liwan District People's Congress concluded in Guangzhou on February 28.

The conference passed several resolutions, including the appointment of most chairpersons of the specialized committees of the 17th Liwan District People's Congress, resolutions regarding the government work report, the execution of the 2023 national economic and social development plan and the plan for 2024, the execution of the 2023 budget and the budget for 2024, the work reports of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress, the People's Court, and the People's Procuratorate of Liwan District, as well as the development plan for grassroots democracy by the People's Congress and its Standing Committee.

Furthermore, the conference also voted to determine the ten livelihood projects for the Liwan District Government in 2024, which were selected based on extensive consultation with various sectors of society by the district government and extensive feedback from representatives of the People's Congress, reflecting the aspirations and desires of the people.
